Robert A. Scudder, Jr.
Bob Scudder began his association with Crystal-Barkley Corporation as a client. As a principle outcome of his immersion in our Life\Work Design program and through his work with his coach in the process, Nella Barkley, he re-discovered his passion for leading and nurturing others in pursuit of their own unique career and personal development. Bob’s natural leadership style, developed over 22 years of naval service and 18 years in the private sector, is that of coach and mentor. He joined the Crystal-Barkley team in 2000 as a key course facilitator and coach.
Professional coaching has been his singular focus for the past eight years and he has coached hundreds of clients in executive/professional development, career transition, and life/work balance agendas. His five years in higher education as a teacher and researcher in organizational behavior and health services administration have contributed to his effectiveness as a mentor, coach and inspirational leader.
F. Clifford Oblinger
Over forty years of successful and varied experiences across different functions, groups, business units and industries uniquely prepared Cliff Oblinger to bring his broad and practical perspective to Life\Work Planning. Cliff has worked within TransAmerica, Johnson&Johnson and Sperry-Univac/Unisys corporations. In his previous position as Senior Management Development Consultant, he designed and implemented the Managing Career Development program throughout the US. He also has small business ownership experience, in manufacturing/distribution as well as residential and commercial real estate.
Genuine personal interest in and practical professional experience managing change and career transitions, combined with the power of the Crystal-Barkley Life\Work Design process, enables Cliff to enthusiastically and sincerely communicate the specifics of how to thoroughly prepare and how to best implement what matters to each individual client.
Catherine F. Middleton
Cathy Ferry Middleton is a one-time health care CEO whose work with Crystal Barkley led her on a new – and fulfilling – path. This registered nurse and long-time medical executive has now joined the Crystal Barkley team, where she applies her passion for helping others to the company’s clients.
As with so many Crystal Barkley clients, Cathy’s new path was forged in a challenging environment. During a time of restructuring and cost cuts, Cathy approached her employer with an idea. She proposed taking a sabbatical, which led her to enroll in Crystal-Barkley’s Life/Work Design Program. Following that work, she applied her insights to a new role, leading a not-for-profit that cared for uninsured workers. She also helped create and, ultimately sell, a successful managed care company.
Armed with a track record of success, Cathy now leads the business development and marketing efforts for Crystal Barkley. She remains passionately committed to inspiring and equipping individuals and organizations to realize their full potential.
