Teresa A. Whitt

Teresa A. Whitt

Teresa A. Whitt, known to us as Terry, serves as Crystal-Barkley’s Office Manager and is the point person for all administrative matters. She came to Crystal-Barkley from the teaching profession. She is a graduate of Wingate College in North Carolina with a degree in computer programming and, while she spends much of her time carrying on our internet correspondence, her most important responsibility is routing clients and potential clients to the right person at the right time and --- always on time.

Gerald McCarthy

Jerry began his association with BestWork, Inc. and Crystal-Barkley Corporation more than four decades ago as a client of John Crystal.

During that time he has served in numerous executive and board member positions in state, regional, and national agencies charged with environmental protection, conservation, and philanthropy.

His undergraduate and graduate education encompasses electrical and nuclear engineering, as well as public administration.

Currently, Jerry co-leads 3-day Life\Work Design™ workshops.


David Shriner-Cahn

David Shriner-Cahn

David Shriner-Cahn, is Co-Founder of the BestNetwork and host of the business podcast, Smashing the Plateau. David provides entrepreneurs with individual and team mentorship, peer support and curated educational content to build recurring revenue.

David has served as a CEO, COO and CFO in the not-for-profit sector as well as a project manager in the private sector. A graduate of Columbia University Graduate School of Business’s Institute for Not-for-Profit Management, David received his B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Lafayette College, M.S. in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University, and attended Technion Israel Institute of Technology as a Fulbright scholar.

David is available for coaching, with a particular focus on entrepreneurs, and leads Life\Work Design™ courses in New York City with Nella.


Robert A. Scudder, Jr.

Robert A. Scudder, Jr.

Bob Scudder began his association with Crystal-Barkley Corporation as a client. As a principle outcome of his immersion in our Life\Work Design program and through his work with his coach in the process, Nella Barkley, he re-discovered his passion for leading and nurturing others in pursuit of their own unique career and personal development. Bob's natural leadership style, developed over 22 years of naval service and 18 years in the private sector, is that of coach and mentor. He joined the Crystal-Barkley team in 2000 as a key course facilitator and coach.

Professional coaching has been his singular focus for the past eight years and he has coached hundreds of clients in executive/professional development, career transition, and life/work balance agendas. His five years in higher education as a teacher and researcher in organizational behavior and health services administration have contributed to his effectiveness as a mentor, coach and inspirational leader.
